Safe and Healthy
As resort owners, we take our responsibility to provide you, as our guests, an environment that is clean and safe very seriously.  Therefore we aim to create a worry-free atmosphere for our SweetWater guests.

Deposits
Do you need a deposit to hold my reservation? Yes, $350/cabin to guarantee a 5-7 day stay and $200/cabin to guarantee a 2-4 day stay.  Deposits are due within 5 business days of making the reservation and can be made by check or credit card.

What is your cancellation policy
Deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE unless we are able to rebook the vacancy, created by your cancellation, in the same manner you booked your stay at SweetWater.  Notify us immediately, if you must cancel and we’ll make every effort to rebook the space you vacated.  If we are able to rebook the vacancy you created, we will return your deposit minus an administration fee of $25. If we cannot rebook the vacancy, regardless of when you cancel, you will not receive your deposit back.
If you are concerned about losing your deposit due to a cancellation, we suggest getting travel insurance.

Pets
Are pets allowed?  Pet dogs, ONLY, are allowed with a maximum of 2 dogs per cabin during the months of May through October.  No Pets are allowed November through April.  A charge of $120/wk or $20/day is assessed per dog.   Guest must present current shot records at check-in. (You are liable for all actions and/or damage caused by your pet.)  Our pet policy is as follows:
SweetWater Pet Policy
1.  We welcome well-trained and well-behaved dogs (ONLY) at SweetWater during the months of May 1 through October 31.  No dogs are allowed November 1 – April 30.
2.  A charge of $120.00/week or  $20.00/day is assessed to each dog, MAXIMUM of 2 dogs per cabin.  This includes any dogs brought by day visitors.
3.  Current pet immunization records (rabies, bordetella, and distemper) must be presented, at check-in, for all dogs, or we’ll require you to board your pet at the nearest kennel.
4.  Dogs are never to be left alone at any time, inside or outside of the cabins.
5.  When outside, all dogs must be accompanied by owner, leashed at all times, cleaned up after, and kept quiet.
6.  We prefer you keep pets off beds and furniture.  If they are used to being on the furniture please bring sheets or blankets to cover the furniture/beds.
7.  The guest is financially responsible and liable for ALL actions/damage caused by their dog(s).
8.  We reserve the right to kennel all dogs causing disturbance to other guests.
9.  Per state regulations, dogs are not allowed on the beach or to swim in the water by the beach.  There is another ares for them to play in the water and off a dock.

Minimum stays/schedules/check-in & out
Do you have a minimum stay? Yes, we have a 3 night minimum stay from Memorial day weekend through Labor day weekend.  We require 2-night stays the rest of the year.

How do you schedule weekly stays? From June 1 through August 31 we operate Saturday to Saturday.  “Split weeks” are available, i.e., 3 nights or 4 nights which begin or end on Saturday.
Example: a 3 night stay – guest arrives on Saturday & departs on Tuesday or a 4 night stay – guest arrives on Tuesday and departs on Saturday. Minimum 3 night stay.

What are your check-in/check-out times?  Check-in is 3 pm or after and check-out is 9 am any day. This can be negotiable if someone is NOT checking into your cabin or out of your cabin on the day you arrive or depart. Call (218-575-2744) or email (sweetwaterresort@hotmail.com) to inquire.

Is bedding, bath towels, silverware, and flatwear provided?
 We provide all bedding, toilet paper, all kitchen ware (pots, pans, dishes, silverware, utensils, lighters, garbage bags, dish soap, coffee filters, coffee maker, toaster, microwave, and charcoal grill.

Less-utilized items are available to borrow (i.e., blenders, coffee grinders, stock pot, etc).  Ask at the office.

We do not provide kitchen/bath towels, washcloths, napkins, paper towels, salt and pepper, charcoal or charcoal lighter fluid.  If you forget something, however, check with us before purchasing something, we may have the item you need available to borrow, rent, or purchase.

Extra Persons and Day Visitors
 Is there a charge for extra people in a cabin? Yes, extra people, of any age, above the base rate for any cabin are only $20/night,$110/week in spring/summer/fall, and $15/night October – December.

Can we have day guests and is there a charge?  All guests AND Visitors must register in the office. There is NO Charge for visitors who come just to visit for the day but if they choose to stay overnight in your cabin, they must pay the extra person nightly charge of $15/person (when it exceeds the base rate of that cabin).

Fishing licenses/groceries/laundry
Where can I buy fishing licenses and bait?  Lincoln, Gas and Bait on the corner of Hwy 10 and County Rd #3 (2 miles north of SweetWater) sells licenses, bait and groceries.

 How close is the nearest grocery store?  Boone’s Market in Randall and The BBQ Smokehouse Plus in Motley are two small town grocery stores, each about 10 minutes away. Coborn’s, Aldie’s and Walmart are in Little Falls, just 20 minutes away.   Lincoln Gas and Bait (2 miles away), a gas station/bait shop/C-store, and Deli, also carries the basics (butter, eggs, milk, chips, pop, bread, candy, some frozen meat, ice cream, pizza and sub-sandwiches to go, etc.).

Do you have laundry facilities?  You can bring your laundry to the office.

Boat launch/pontoon/boat info
Where do we launch our boat?  The paved public access is just one mile north of SweetWater Resort on County Rd 20/Azure Rd

 Is there a charge to dock my boat?  We provide one (1) dock space for each cabin, at no charge, however, there is a charge of $25 per boat for additional boats you wish to bring.

Camping
Do you have camping?  No, We do not have camping sites but Fish Trap Camping and RV resort is only 1 1/2 miles from our driveway. Call 218-575-2603 for more information.
